‘Triangle Ester’ Molecules as Blending Components in Mineral Oil: A Theoretical and Experimental Investigation

نویسندگان

چکیده

The present work explored the use of fatty acid ‘Triangle ester’ molecules (Epoxidized Ester (EE), and Thiirane (TE)) as antifriction antiwear additives at varying levels for Group I II mineral base oils using standard ASTMD-4172B four-ball test. Relative to neat oil, EE blends showed improved by ~61% ~42% properties ~32% ~41% in oils, respectively, while TE friction reduction ~65% ~40% wear ~93% ~50% relative same stock. Time evolution their with oil (modeled hexadecane) w.r.t. conformational changes, adsorption energy, intermolecular effect applied stress were estimated theoretically MD simulations. Further, optimized these effectiveness a blending component commercial engine (CEO) could reduce CEO ~30%, respectively.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Theoretical and Experimental Investigation of the Key Components for a Rotary Desiccant Wheel

This paper describes the theoretical and experimental investigations of the key components and also the performance analysis of a rotary wheel for using as a solid desiccant dehumidifier and also indirect evaporator cooling system. Solid desiccants have long been used in dehumidification and cooling systems for energy efficiency or reduce electricity. Although many mathematical models on th...

Experimental Analysis Of Single Cylinder Diesel Engine Fuelled With Methyl Ester Of Palm Kernel Oil Blending With Eucalyptus Oil

Biomass derived fuels are preferred as alternative fuels for IC engine due to its abundant availability and renewable nature. In the present work, the complete replacement of diesel fuel with bio-fuels is studied, where the bio-fuels, namely, methyl ester of palm kernel oil and eucalyptus oil were chosen and used as fuel in the form of blends. Various proportions of palm kernel oil and eucalypt...
